ID Card Madness

The cost of an identity card has been forecast at £60 and was launched today with an introductory offer of £30 off (or is that BOGOF for couples?). Famous for its law-abiding citizens, Manchester will be the test bed for this week’s laughable Government policy. How long it will last is debatable, probably not long after the next election if the Tories have their way.
It’s therefore quite ironic to see that the plan uses the Post Offices as a sales channel especially when recent months have seen a debate about Post Office closures in Wales. Critical security cards, delivered by an organisation that will be less available to the population. Daft!
